The Esther Project
We are really excited to be launching The Esther Project – promoting spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing among women, especially women who don’t ‘go to church’ but are open to spirituality. The launch is on 2 December 2023 from 1pm until 5pm at Beacon Church. All women are welcome to come or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand to find out more if you wish.
Freedom in Christ
We all struggle with feelings of guilt and shame. This is so even if you have put your trust in Jesus and have received His forgiveness. However, so often our hearts are still held captive by our past and the world around us. The Freedom in Christ course is designed to help set you free from negative emotions and help you live in the truth of who you are as God’s precious child. During October-December 2023 we will be following Freedom in Christ on a Sunday morning and at our weekday/evening small groups. All are welcome.
You can also catch up and listen an audio recording of the Sunday morning talks here – Sunday morning Freedom in Christ talks
We love having baptisms at Beacon Church, whether it is for a baby, a child or an adult. Baptism is a sign of God’s love and grace in our lives. Through baptism we become part of God’s family, the Church. Baptism also marks a turning point in our lives, where we say that we want to turn away from the mistakes of the past and put our faith in Jesus. The water in baptism symbolises having our guilt and shame washed away and being reborn into God’s family where we can find forgiveness and freedom to live the lives that God created us to live!
So that you know how things work at Beacon Church when it comes to christenings and baptisms, we have put together a Baptism Policy for you. You can read it here
